Nice job on the mod. I ran flush mounts for awhile and then switched back to stock location when I installed my Euros. Since then, I've swapped out the Euros for the Halo LEDs.
Pretty cool and easily reversable mod if you decide to change back.
GF and I have been having a blast fixing the vette up and ordered a kit off e bay to see what they looked like. Didn't like them then I ordered the back wing. Tried them stock and flush with the wing and stayed with flush.
They make a black dust/waterproof liner that I have on mine that fits around the outside of the light. You can see it better on the driver side. Thought yours had it but the close ups you didn't . Blends it in better to us.

I prefer the look of the stock recessed tailights. Corvettes look best with recessed taillights. Flush mounted taillights just don't look right. Reminds me of this...

dont listen to the ones that dont like it! i think it really sets off a c5 i even started a thread on how its one of the few things i cant stand on a c5 are how the lights sit recessed this is how the car should have came from the factory
