I have the adjustable suspension.
I was wondering if someone had a pic of what they might look like so I know If i still have them or not? I was thinking about swapping them out before they blow. I could sell them for a decent chunk of change. And since the car is lowered, that system doesnt do anything for me.
I dont know if the previous owner did anything to delete the code, or had previously swapped them or not.

You might be able to tell by looking at it, A standard shock is just a shock with nothing going to it and the adjustable shocks will have a couple wires going to them.

Hey. So once you've seen one Mag Ride Shock it's pretty easy to tell the difference between the two different parts. If you have the shock off the car there is a wiring harness that runs out of the very top of the shocks themselves that plugs into another harness that runs farther down the body, if the shock is still on the car there is a ribbed dust boot that is capped off by a silver aluminum piece.
Google Image search turns up good results with links to mag shocks on ebay if you want to see a visual example of what the mag shocks look like.
If you can still get a good amount of cash for them, maybe it's time to save for a coilover fund! Keep adjustable damping capabilities, while lowering the car without reducing suspension travel... they're the best of both worlds!

Wouldn't hurt to include a little more info in your question. Like, what year? Are you talking about F45? F55? If you have the F45 used in the 98 to 02, it looks like this:

if your car is lowered, there is at least a really good chance that they (original magnetic ride system) have been changed out. it is tough to lower a car with mag ride and if you do lower it, the ride is pretty bad. just a guess on my part, but there are several threads about lowering and magnet ride. try doing a search for some additional information.
One last attempt, he didn't have magnetic ride on his 98. He had selective ride, a mechanical adjustment done by rotating a valve opening to bypass the shock fluid. Magnetic ride applies a voltage to the fluid, moving particles in the fluid, causing it to exhibit stiffer characteristics. No moving parts. I don't know anything about what happens when you lower either and I don't intend to find out. My car is as low as it is going to go.
OP has F45. Last year I came to the conclusion that my F55 system was wearing out. I had the dealership lower it to the allowable spec. limit (.5" lower). two years ago. In hind sight, it did diminish the ride quality slighty. Over time, Tour floated and Sport was jarring.
Two months ago, I took the advice mentioned above and installed the Pfadt coilovers. Holy Jeebus! The ride quality is phenominal now and the stance is perfect.
