Relays help!

Anyone have a picture guide on where to mount the 85 87a 87 relay from the passenger side area? Looks like "the mechanic" forgot to do it.

we're going to need more specifics. what relay are you referring to? and what are you trying to do with it? all SPDT relays are labelled with 87a,87,85,30, and 86.

I dont know how to be more specific but heres a picture. The color wires that are connected to it are (starting from the left) Purple, yellow/black, yellow, and Red. If that helps any...

So its not needed to be grounded? It just hangs...?

Correct. The relay wiring has all the electrical connections it needs to function with the wires going into the wiring base. The relay can just lay where it is now or to make it neat, hang it back above the BCM where GM originally had it. Probably some previous owner had problems with the Theft Deterrent Relay and who ever serviced it didn't take the time to put it back where it started above the BCM. Gotta love people that fancy themselves mechanics and can't be bothered to put it back the way it started.........
