As I promised and as requested here is the splitter that I got back from Pat @ American Hydro Carbons installed. For those that missed the original thread, I had an ACI front splitter on my '01 coupe for over a year now when I was trying to decide if I wanted to leave in matte black, paint it torch red to match the car, or have Pat do his magic. I did not want to invest in a carbon fiber splitter that just came on the market seeing I already had $400.00 in this one, so I gave it to Pat to have it done in Hydro Carbon. I know there are some out there that are not big on hydro carbon, but I find it attractive and seeing I already had the splitter as I said why not.
First a few pictures just after I got it and polished and waxed it.
I would have bought a cf one then just sold this. Because the amount of money you just spent on fake cf is more ridiculous then losing maybe 100 bucks after selling it

Well I understand what you are saying, but you don't know what I paid to have this done and the cost of the real CF splitter is more that I wanted to pay right now. But I knew going in that some out there are not fans of the Hydro Carbon. But thanks for you opinion.
nice....did you consider torch red hydro? Pat does great work on it...
oh, looking at that first picture some comedian here is going to tell you to lower that rear end! LOL
I had the front grill done in the red CF, but it is much darker here it is when I first got it.
So I have since painted to match, that is one reason I went with the standard black HC. Also I had it in a matte black first as I think it looks a little more aggressive.

I will see what other pictures I have and post them up later today. As for the opening size I only have 3 2" holes in there now. I used a hole saw in my drill. I got that Idea from another post on the front grills.

NICE!
Do you have shots from other angles?
As mentioned above I will see what other shots I have and post a few more later today.

If the fake cf is cheaper you will be the last one laughing when the splitter gets the crap knocked out of it and inadvertantly hits a curb or driveway. Ask me how i know(GTR?).
I think it looks fantastic in carbon color. very noticeable

I came to the same conclusion when I had Pat do my rear plate holder...luckily I asked for samples before having the work done; I did not like the way the TR looks against TR hydro, so I opted for the same 'regular' CF look like you did...it blends in nicely being a very small part on the rear of the car...hardly noticeable...wish I had a pic to show you.
