Default Rim/Tire Sizing ?

I have a 2003 Z06 lowered 1" on stock bolts - but I am going to put some shocks or CO's on shortly and lower it further.

I have 18" CCW Classics on the way - 10" fronts and 11.5" rears

What is the largest rear size tire that is suggested to run on the rear? Can I run a 315/30 without it sticking out or any rubbing?

What is the largest size front tire that is suggested to run on the front? Can I run a 295/30 without it sticking out or rubbing?

Thanks for your help.

I have no answers, but want to add to your question. I also wonder if I can put the stock rear 18x10.5 Zo6 wheels on the front with a 285/30 tire?

Read the reviews on different tires and see which tire will best fit your needs. Then, go to the tire manufacturers web site and see what sizes are available and what they say are the recommended wheel widths for that particular tire.

A good site to start for reviews is www.tirerack.com

Decide what you want to do with the car first. Do you want a maximum competition tire like a drag radial or roadcourse tire that is extremely soft, like MT Streets or something that will last a bit longer and lose a bit of grip and still be somewhat ok in the rain like Nitto Invo's?

That's the first step, what kind of tire are YOU looking for?

You can't just always name a specific tire size and expect them all to fit perfect. Each manufacture has variances in their sizes. One 315/30/18 is not the same width as the rest of them.

If you want a generic response...315's will fit in the rear and 295's might but that's pretty damn wide for the front.

CCW Classics. One of my fav wheels.

Good Choice

and the 315 rear and 295 front is perfect for handling.

Most ppl dont go wide enough up front.

get an aggressive street alignment too

and PICS. Post pics when you get them mounted
