I'll eventually change it, that is why it is a decal, you can remove it at anytime, but for now it will stay I'm having to much fun with it right now with all the babes coming up to me telling me they like what I done. Why would I want guys coming up to me. I live in Ocean City Maryland so I am at the beach all the time, Just imagine all the babes coming up to you bending over and leaning into your window in there bikini's telling you they like what you did to your vette. " IT'S A CHICK MAGNET " Ha! Ha!

Bill,
I have to agree that the flames do not fit the car. Here is something to ponder; maybe the car isn't the chick magnet but the guy driving it is! I would like you to test this theory and have you remove the flames and go to the beach this weekend and see how the chick magnet car does! If my suspisions are correct your going to get the girls around your car and just maybe the ladies will be a bit more impressed with yourself. Yes the corvette will draw the ladies but its the guy driving it that seals the deal if they are going to come up to the car. You don't need a "Sham WOW" gimmick (if you do it will be girls impressed with Sham WOW) to attract the babes and some of the guys are correct that if the flames remain you jepordize ridicule out in public. Take it for what its worth.
Also, I agree that the gay bashing needs to remain with the car which most members are talking about and not the owner (if they are it is inapropriate). Thus, I also think the car looks gay, if thats your intentintion then the mod is a success (by the responses you are getting). Best of luck, vettes and vette guys are cool!
I have to agree the colors and flame design are very effeminate...not gay, and I think it IS wrong to label the owner and call someone a "homo" regardless.
Since you have fading where the BSM's were and cannot afford to fix that yet, I would have just put them back on and waited until I could do it right. The flames are pretty cheesy and cheapen the car in my opinion.
I'm not a big fan of windshield stickers either so I wouldn't have them, but you certainly can if you like. You already know what I think about the color.
I do wear a lavender(ish) dress shirt to work on occassion and get many compliments on how it looks on me. I'm confident enough in my "manhood" to wear it.....as you apparently are to apply those stickers.
Comments like above one from "Mr. G- Supporting member" are making more & more people sound like idiots the longer this goes on. Flamed Vette Dude - sorry you ever posted this and put those stickers on your car for that matter but MUCH sorrier about these types of responses which downgrade the Vette-owner/human-kind reputation. Someone needs to stop this childish BS. Eee-gosh....c'mon now...doesn't someone see anything much worse than a sticker going on with the homophobes getting a little wacky?
This thread is pretty darn funny!
Never thought stickers on nice cars were a very good idea. Flames really belong on hot rods from the 30s-50s and should be airbrushed on by an expert painter.
Nice Vette though but the banner and flames are a little tacky for my tastes.
