I bought my DSM , low profiles for I think $300, can't remember, might have been less, I paid $125 to have them welded in. I love them, and they also made me 1o extra ponies.

Bought mine from TPSmotorsports for $385. My neighbor is going to weld them on for free. DMH are great cutouts but they take A LONG TIME to get them. I'm having them welded on the 90 degree bend just prior to the mufflers so they're not under the car and heating the tranny.

good luck.

I bought my DMH's from Dave directly, paid almost $400, then installation in Memphis ran me another $300.

Even though that might scare some, it has been a GREAT mod to my car.

Nothing but positive reviews on these it seems. I wonder why more people don't do this mod instead of paying $800 plus for a cat back? My car came came with a catback and I just added LT's. I was thinking of doing a 3" catback but for the price I think I'm going with these cutouts.

I was going to do the mod, but a friend dissuaded me by telling me that electric cut-outs are prone to leaking more & more every time you use them, making the car increasingly louder.

With that being said, I love my SLP Powerflo exhaust. Not too loud, and I don't have to worry about anything.

I have mine on for going on 2 years and have no problems, I have Corsa exhaust, in 6th with cutouts closed car sounds like gramas buick. When you start the car with them open , makes women and children run for cover. The MayhemII does make a difference, at WOT some folks get scared. I love it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have had a lot of people tell me how good it sounds, 70 year old at the parts house a while back was smiling ear to ear and said man that thing sounds good, thanks grandpa!

Default pictures with an automatic

I have been considering installing the cut outs on my 99 automatic. Any pictures and installations tips for location on an automatic with a Corsa X pipe. I have seen advertisements for a remote control unit that is not hard wired. Anyone using the remote control type cut outs.

I know the cutouts pictured above have a slight downturn pipe. I just wonder about heat issues with the tranny and gas tank nearby.

Obviously, sitting in traffic, you'd close them to avoid heat issues. Anybody with impressions of long term use and heat problems?

I agree, I have the QTP cutouts, and I have them open 95% of the time too! LOVE THE SOUND, and the ability to control when I want them loud! One of the best investments I have made for my car!

I considered those at one time, but started thinking of the fumes, soot under car and possible leaks and wires burning. My vette is a daily driver so decided to save up for cat back system ....but I still think thats a cool mod for the money

Love the evil wicked .

Thanks for the info. I was just thinking that in stop and go, traffic gridlock, maybe close them. Otherwise, leave them on and menacingly creep up on people. Might scare them into another lane.

Just an FYI
There is a price increase on these DMH cutouts coming soon.

We still have them for 399.99 shipped

There is an average of 2-3 week lead time right now as DMH can not make them fast enough to keep up with the orders.

You can order here
http://shop.doubledmods.com/searchqu...c?keywords=dmh

looking at somewhere around 429.99 after this shipped when new price increase comes along shortly.
