Default PO343 Help

I am getting the PO343 Cam Position sensor voltage high code and after cleaning all my grounds and checking all the wiring I need advice on which direction to go next. I did a search and from what I found it seems that these sensors usually do not go bad. It seems that the cam sprocket bolts become loose do to gm not using loctite.

I had a cam package installed 7 months ago at a very reputable shop so I believe that they would torque to spec and use loctite on the bolts. That being said what should I do now?

Should I try to replace the sensor myself?
Should I send it back to the shop and let them check the bolts?
If it is the bolts, should I have to pay out of my pocket?

I'm planning on calling the shop tomorrow to see what they say but wanted to get some advice before I do. Thanks in advance!

If it's the bolts and you don't fix it in time, you'll have some trash.

Take it back and let them look at it. Even if you get charged for the work (which can't be that much) you are better off than the alternative.

BTW, never seen that code pop unless it was the bolts.

I was on my way home when the code popped up so I haven't drove my car since. I did start it a couple of times after cleaning my grounds and clearing my codes (which would immediately pop back up) but I'm not going to risk it anymore.

Update, I replaced the sensor and it solved my problem!
