[Z06] Transmission jammed?

Have a friend whose 02 Z06 trans is jammed in 3rd and 4th. Any ideas?

I had a firebird one time stuck in third. It wasn't the transmission. It was the linkage.

Maybe start with the shifter realigment process? Do a search for it, but essentialy it will be a trial and error process adjusting the position of the shifter assembly where it bolts up to the tunnel.
