Default Escort Radar Comparison

Does anyone know if the Escort Radar Detectors all have the same technology when it comes to detecting radar? There are three that I am looking at.

Passport IQ; has mapping software, I like this because I can just tell my kids that its a GPS.

Redline;

9500ix; I guess the selling point on this one is that you can memorize false alarms.

You would think that Escort would do a comparison on its web site. Any help would be appreciated. Yes, I am also looking at the Valentine but would like to compare.

V-1 for me ,it just flat out performs so much better & faster picking up radar signals. if you google escort vs v1 im sure you will find a comparison.

In 07 I purchased the 8500X50 Blue, and drove cross-country with no problems and good alert response time, no tickets, no stops, going, or coming back. Sent it back to Escort about 6 months ago for a tune-up/update, cost me $49. 2 months ago I bought another for my 4Runner, 8500 X50 Red, they had a rebate program where they gave you $80. back on any old detectors you returned to them, so I sent my old one to them.

I‘ve had excellent service, good alert times, and no tickets, with both of my 8500X50's.

I guess the biggest upgrade for the 9500i is it allows the unit to recognize when it is near an area that frequently has speed traps or false signals.

Another happy Escort user here. For the price it does a great job. No tickets. I can say if I didn't have it there were a few times I am sure I would of been stopped.

8500X50 Blue here for over 4 years, no updates only 1 ticket (laser).

Go to Google or youtube and decide for yourself.

Friends has the Driver STI and both were close to same for all alerts on our 5,200 mile trip last Summer. No tickets on the trip. Calloway C6 and my C5, lots of fun....

If I was buying a new one it would probably be the redline or 9500ix.

My Escort 9500ix saved my azz several times including when I was tooling down the tollway one night playing with a Cobra jamming along at 150 MPH. Trooper was out of the car with a laser gun and I picked up his beam on another car in time to be down to 55 MPH before he had it on me. Ive owned 3 escorts over the years and would never buy another brand incuding Valentine.

Escort X50 and just plain 8500 user here.I went to inquire about the V1 because I heard it was a bit superior but I heard of terrible customer service. I called in myself and it was immediately verified that their customer service just plain sucks.
The person on the other end didn't even answer the phone "Valentine One".... She was bitchy and unresponsive therefore passport wins by a landslide!!

Escort QI45 for me. Love the hidden look, not hanging from the windshield.
