Default New Tires on C5

My original plan was to put new tires on the car the end of the summer, but I picked up a nail last week so that made the decision for me. I had the Michelin Pilot Sport AS+ZP in stalled Saturday at NTB here in Huntsville, AL. I really like them. They are much quieter than the original tires that were on the car. Not cheap. I also had found an article from Covette Fever magazine that showed these as the quietest tire out of several they had tested. So I'm broke, but happy.

Congrats! Are these the run-flat Michelins or the regular (non run-flat) Michelins?

Good choice on tires, hard to go wrong in the Michelin PS line. Sorry to hear that this was a forced expense, but hopefully this is an improvement for you

I too like the peace of mind of a runflat tire.

so do i, but i really have been leaning toward replacing the current run flats with non run flats based upon all i h ave been reading here for the past several years (yes, i have my original OEM tires on my 04 CE convertible, and figure they are probably still good for another 3k miles or so). i know this is like the kiss of death, but i can't remember the last time i had a flat tire on ANY of my cars (including my DD which travels about 65 miles or more round trip 5 days a week). some may say that my luck is running out, but............who knows, lol. leaning real heavy toward the hankook V12

Nice choice on the tires - they should work just fine on the car.

I did a good bit of research before getting out the the RUN FLATs...........settled on the Hankooks V12s.

They are quiet, smooth and grip so much better than the run flat stockers. This is the way Corvettes should have been offered originally and the reason the Z06 does not have runflats........they work very well and are not a compromise.

Never going back to run flats...........just have a sissors jack, Fix O Flat and a valid AAA Membership.
