This may need to be moved to another part of the forum but I'll leave that to the mods to decide. But...
Has anyone ever compiled a "Favorite Drives" for roads in their areas? I have seen tour books like this before for certain areas but how about from the amateur, Vette cruiser point of view? Favorite places to see, to stop...rough roads to avoid!
I could identify a few around Florida that I like and I am sure all of you could for areas around where you live.
I just think it would be cool if someone was traveling somewhere and could go look up info. Like if someone was going to drive the Tail of the Dragon there is alot of stuff on it but if someone said they were going to Sarasota, FL and where is the best place to "cruise" there, it might not be as readily available?
Just an idea to see if anyone has compiled anything before?

Never have done that myself, but it would be a good idea. Wonder if I could talk several of the local car clubs into coming up with a list like that for roads around here?
I vote route 1 from Monteray Ca. south for 100 miles or so. I drove this on vacation with my F-150 and I had white knuckles the whole time, wished I was in the Vette the whole time!
There is also a site out there somwhere that has twisty roads for the Miata clubs...but my computer is dead and I don't have the link anywhere else right now...

Interesting idea, but do you run the risk of publicizing your now-quiet and relatively traffic free cruise roads?
Very true Rob...but I wouldn't mind sharing them with other Vette owners!
Fact is Florida is crowded everywhere so I am used to traffic. Its the guys with the remote, hidden mountain roads that have to keep quiet or they will spoil their cruising spots.

In Southern California there is no such animal as a quiet or traffic free cruise road. There are, however, a good number of "Twisties" that all the autos and bikes share. Seems to be a certain natural order to what time of the day you see the most of one or another type of vehicle enjoying the roads.
If you want clear roads, we just go in the middle of the day during the week and it is much more open than the weekends.
