Anyone have another option for having the EBCM rebuilt? I can't seem to get responses from absfixer.com (which a lot of people highly recommend). I'd love to use them, but they just don't ever return phone calls or emails.
I had mine done too. I was going to use absfixer but someone recommended another guy and I used him instead. He was only $50 and I contacted him through E Bay of all places. He did good work and the turnaround was very fast. I don't remember his name though. This was about a year and a half ago and I haven't had any problems. Just try to search e bay. I'm sure he's still on there.

I just fixed my ebcm myself 2 weeks ago.. Its pretty simple, only elementry skills required to make the repair.. There is a thread in the c5 tech section. What most likely happens is a soldier joint on the main relay breaks loose causing the c1214 code. Best of all its FREE !
absfixer is horrible. used a guy on ebay and was very quick and answered calls immediately. do not use absfixer. I had a repair done, went bad, called for warranty.....nothing. no call returned.

I used the one on ebay in 2009 and 2010 both repaired fast.
I used absfixer about 2 years ago maybe a little longer but they got my EBCM repaired and fixed in about a week. Cost was somewhere around $125-$150 range but better than buying a new EBCM. Keep us posted on how you make out with the guy from ebay.
I used ABS Fixer a couple of years ago and service was good. Always answered E Mails quick. Have checked him with on another part several months ago and he answered then.
I called the one I used on ebay that also has a website, informed them about www.corvetteforum.com . Asked if they would consider being a Supporting Vendor, Sales rep said yes they would and will turn over info. to IT dept. We shall see
