I have two responses on Dr. Colorchip. First, I ordered the wrong silver color and they gladly sent the correct one and said to keep the wrong one. Totally, my mistake, but they made it good. However, when I used it exactly to the instructions, it just smeared right off when I rubbed it with my gloved thumb. Tried it a couple of times on a couple different scratches and it just wiped right off leaving no difference at all. I might try it again but it did not work for me. I have read many other members reports that it works great. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.
Bought - followed instructions - car is going to the body shop to be professionally painted. No big scratches etc. just minor road rash from wheels. This is in a car that has never seen winter or been driven in the rain.
Sold product form $10.00 shipped. Just my experience and 2 cents.

It sounds like you're not prepping the area correctly. You need to make sure all wax, etc., is stripped from the spots, or the paint isn't going to adhere. I used denatured alcohol. As I said, it took two or three applications to get it to the point where you can't detect the repair from 5 feet away, but it isn't a miracle worker. Better than most solutions, but an artists brush, a steady hand and a little bit of color and you can do as good a job freehand unless you have a bunch of pits you're trying to cover, in which case, this system works pretty good and saves a lot of time.

I have used it on three different cars and has worked very well. It will not fix all damage, but is much better touch up paint than what you can get at the dealership. If it seems to be wiping out, I agree with it not being clean. If still wipes out, leave it on longer. If it still wipes out it is most likely to be in the clear only. That would be good cause you can buff it out.

Have not tried the product, but did see a demonstration at Bloomington Gold last year. The guy doing it made it look easy and the results were very good. Of course, whether I could get those same results is anyone's guess but it's worth a try.

I have used it successfully, and rate the results 7-8 of 10. BUT it does take a little practice, so start in the less visible areas. Their color match is pretty good. Prep is everything...make sure there's no residual wax or dirt in the spots you are fixing.
