Nothing wrong with RP. 75-90 in the diff and Synchromax for the trans.

Couldn't beleive the difference Amsoil Torque-Drive makes in my 02Z, shifts so smooth, wouldn't use anything else.

Have heard its not that compatible to our synchros...but who knows. My recommendations are the Amsoil Tourqe drive, RP Synchromax, or Pensoil Synchromesh (Pensoil is closest formulation to GM's Synchromesh fluid)...in that order. I'd even go with Redline fluid in the tranny before the Mobil 1 stuff, but that's just me.

Yes, you should return the Mobil 1.

Do a search on the Internet, and you will find several places that sell Royal Purple Synchromax.

I got mine off the shelf at Pep Boys. I'm sure your local auto store would carry the Pensoil as well.

Well I got 4 quarts of rp syncro max and 3 quarts of rp 75-90 gear oil for my transmission replacement.
$142.00!!!!! That ridiculous. I really hope it is worth it

You'll be able to return 1 bottle of 75-90...you only need 2. Yes it's expensive, but it's not like you'll need to do this again any time soon.
