It's common knowledge here that Techron will in some cases cure a malfunctioning fuel sensor due to the sulfur deposits but a reminder is good. Glad it worked for you and good advice to add some Techron every now and then.
Will Seafoam do the same thing? Or is techron the fix on the C5?
Im pretty sure people have had success with both, I personally used techron mainly because it seems like a majority have had positive results with it as did I. But then again as soon as it happened I filled her up and put in a bottle, just happened to be on the way to NCM, kinda scared me too because I knew I was getting below a 1/4 and the next thing I knew I was "out".

may be "common knowledge" to you oh great one but some of us normal human beings who dont know everything appreciate shared forum advice. I do.

That advice has been shared hundreds of times on the forum-typing it in in capital letters doesn't make it new advice.
It IS common knowledge to those that actually participate in,or at least follow the forum.

It has been posted on many times before. You've been a member since 2007, you should have seen it posted, if you regularly use the forum. The comment "oh great one", really was uncalled for.
Oh yeah, using capital letters is perceived as SHOUTING, if you didn't know.

shame on me, i'll just read others quotes and not comment on anything anymore.
No need to pout. You can comment on anything you like, but it is always a good idea to do a quick search before posting a new thread. Chances are favorable that 99.9999% of Vette technical issues have been discussed already. Just a friendly web forum etiquette tip...
For the record, my Z06 fuel gauge went to "E" the day I bought it and was driving it home. LOL! Because I searched here as soon as I got home, I saw all the gazillion posts about using Techron and running Mobil fuel. I haven't had any fuel gauge problems since.
Good reminder to get Techron. Hope it's still on sale.
Well it wasn't on sale but Chevron does have a rebate offer titled Buy 1 Get 1 Free. When you buy 2 they refund you one. Max refund for the 20 oz is 11.99 & 7.99 for the 12 oz. Limit is one rebate P/H & postmarked by 9-3-11
