Hey Fellas, I have a 2001 Zo6 with about 75k miles. The car was driving fine up until I parked it in the garage. The clutch seems to be stuck half way engaged or something of that sort. If you press the clutch down all the way, you have to force the shifter into gear. What could be wrong? Any info would be great, Also can anyone recommend a good and honest tech in the Sacramento/CA area? Thanks!
Hey Stinky: I had a similar issue and it turned out that the slave cylinder was leaking and completely saturated the clutch disc. Are you showing any fluid loss.
I dont see any fluids in my garage so IDK if there's a leak. I'm kinda car retarded so I could be wrong. I may just have it towed to the stealership but I'm sure they will charge me an arm and leg. Thanks for the info!

I'll bet the problem you have is that the clutch fluid has never been changed. Try flushing it with fresh fluid and I'll bet it's back to new again. The technician who does work on my 2003 said to me once that 7 out of ten bad clutches that come through his door at the Chevrolet dealership are just clogged up reservoir/slave cylinder. The clutch fluid should be changed at least twice a year.
Stinky cheese go to www.rangeracceleration.com That is his website and it will explain how to do his clutch procedure. Click on clutch issue on left hand side of page. Worked well for me, Good Luck!
I was to excited and couldnt wait till tomorrow so I went to the 24hr Wally World and bought the stuff for the Ranger Method. OMFG!!!!! It worked, The fluid was dirty and nasty as hell. I changed it out a few times and gonna do more tomorrow. I was able to drive and shift the car like normal! Thanks guys, You really made my weekend! I will try to eat as many burgers and BBQ tomorrow in honor of you! Thanks again!
