Man, you have mastered the plastidip technique! Took me a while to realize you must keep the spray at least a foot away for perfect uniform results....great job!

I have always wanted to paint my rear fascia. Never had the ***** though.
I decided since I can peel the stuff back off I'd give it a shot.
Turned out ok. Edges were really tough to get smooth without it pulling away from the part you want to leave there. I might get a small pin stripe to outline the edges if I want to keep it on here a while. Time will tell if I want to keep the look and actually go get it painted. This is only temporary to see if I like it.
lol.....go to page one and start from the beginning.
Plasti-dip is the stuff that is used to put on the handle of your pliers. But then the plasti-dip corporation offered the stuff in a spray can and somebody started using it on different application such as wheels and such.
It works great as a temporary (although it has lasted quite awhile on my car) application to see how different body highlights might look before you decide to use actual paint.
I have wondered the same thing. But since I have not started doing track days yet I don't know.
My guess is that it would work. It can be applied thick enough for protection I'm sure. But you would have to tape off the area to be painted anyway to prevent overspray.
I thought about applying it as a front bra for protection on a trip.
I did the stripes over the wheels last year but drove it when it was around thirty five degrees. It bubbled and I had to peel it lower fascia was dipped then to but still looks great! Beware of cold weather!!!
