Default interior light FAIL need help (been Helped by Forum)

HELP
Four months ago I switched out my under-dash floorboard, rear cargo and mirror lights with LEDs. The under-dash and cargo area looked outstanding. The lights under the mirror were dim. A week after I changed them the right one quit working.

I thought this weekend was a great time to fix it. I put in one of the original bulbs to verify that the socket was good. It came on for about a second and then the under-dash floorboard, rear cargo and mirror lights (to include the little orange one on the mirror) went out.

So I did a forum search and found that the Monitored (inadvertent) Load Control #2 fuse was probably burnt out. It was. I replaced it. Not change

I read some more.

Next was suggested the #37 Micro Relay - Monitored (Inadvertent) Load Control and the #42 Micro Relay - Courtesy Lamps Changed Both. Still doesn't work.

When I open the door the dash lights come on but not the floorboard, rear cargo, or mirror lights. I have disconnected the mirror to take it out of the loop to see if that made a difference it didn't.

Any ideas?

Send a PM to forum member Bill Curlee and see what he has to say about this. He is very knowledgeable on C5 electrical systems.

I had this problem with a TA before, it was the Body Control Module BCM.
You may have killed something in it.
Do the lights come on when you turn the manual switch on ?

Can I ask where you got the LED's or what kind? I just ordered a pack of 10 LED 194's online and was going to do this same thing, but not if its going to cause all this!

I cant remember who I ordered them from. It was one of the vendors on this forum. I do not believe my problem had anything to do with the LEDs. I think it was that I added the regular bulb in the mirror at the same time as the LEDs.

I will add that the LEDs looked outstanding when I had them working. I havent heard of anyone having problems other than me.

BINGO that fixed it. Thank you very much!!!!!

In my owners manual it says that fuse controls diagnostics, so i never looked at it. Changed the fuse and the lights came on. Now I need to figure out what is wrong with the mirror. its always something.

Same her.no rear view lights. Helper light or reverse lights.. the fuse kept blowing.long story short.it was the netural switch on the transmision. It was bad which goes to that fuse and causes all 3 things not to work.$.35.00 and 10 mins later no more problems for me.
