I been thinking i should get 3.90 gears where is the cheapest place to buy new gears?
A4 3.15 gears
Posting your location or filling out your profile will help here! And be careful "CHEAP" in the long run ends up being expensive in most case...well in my experience
BTW this wasn't inspired by a certain video was it

hahaha Na i just think it's time, i live in CA 1 hour away from San Francisco
I would think in your case 3.42 out of a 6spd Vette would do the trick. Once you start getting to 3.73 and above in A4 car it gets a little buzzy on the freeway. Don't forget the gas mileage will suffer about 20%-30%. that could be up to 10 mpg difference.
I know this isn't about mileage but the .1 quicker in the quarter mile isn't worth it for a regularly driven street vehicle imo.

Where are you pulling those numbers from? 30% difference? .1 in the 1/4 mile? Please post your own times and difference in fuel mileage.

Difference .1 at the track 3.42 to 3.73 ... 13.10 vs 13.00 temp ~ 70-80 degrees both times.
Difference between 3.14 and 3.90 3.14/3.90 = .805 or 80% 100-80% = 20% fuel penalty but really in the real world with double overdrive to be about 30% on those numbers. My experience multiple drives from SF to Palm Springs down Hwy 5 cruise control at 73mph = 28.5mpg with 3.73 vs 31.5mpg on 3.42 gears. That is only a 9% between gear ratio. The OP is looking at 20% or about 6mpg in his situation if he used cruise control everywhere. Most people don't. That is why I say 20-30% difference in gas mileage. Just math and a little experience.
Of course, this is just my opinion and lots of experience.
