It I went root style type setup at all, it would probably be the KENNE BELL setup they have for our cars. I am more of a centrifugal type than the roots though.

This discussion should be in the FI section, however, I kind of like the twin-screw design like on the ZR1. My tuner's got a built LS7 with a Magnacharger/TVS 2300 (I think) setup, that he's had sitting on an engine stand for over a year (I think that's what he told me) because of his tuning/general mechanical work, he can't find the time to install in his personal C6Z. I'd like to drive that combo. OTOH, I have a Vortech.

Kenne bell stopped producing kits for our cars. I liked how the kennel bells are louder , but the whipples are more efficiant and the cast blower case vs kenne bells billet case is suppossed to dissipate heat better. Go centrifical . Our cars are like 1000 lbs lighter than camaros , we dont need it to hit so hard down low, traction is already hard to find + imo centrificals have more potential. I have a d1sc and break em loose at 55 on a 315 dr. This winter going ysi and guna run a 345/35/18 mickey Dr.

Just to clarify, i wanted to point out a couple of corrections: firstly, both Whipple and Kenne Bell are Lysholm style twin-screw superchargers. Eaton-sourced superchargers (Magnuson and TVS units on the ZR-1s) are roots style. all are positive displacement compressors.

as for efficiency, the standard roots style have the least efficiency with the twin-screw designs having the highest efficiency ratings. the hybrid designs (helically twisted-lobes; lobes twisted like the screws of the Lysholm style - such as the TVS) are in the middle. between KB and Whipple, the efficiency depends more on the age difference between the two compressors (newer technology vs old as well as surface wear) rather than make.

Good stuff. That's why this thread belongs in FI.
