I have a 2003 Electron Blue Coupe that is in need of a good buffing or color sanding but I have one issue. Shortly after getting the car last September from a Florida dealer, where it spent it's whole life, I replaced the dried out broken nose and trunk emblems. The 50th Anniversary emblems are to expensive to just break off again, and in the past I've removed emblems that had double sided tape on them, like these do (I have plenty new double sided tape to reapply to the emblems ) and just wanted to get other suggestions or methods of removal. The primary concern is to not break them upon removal !
This time of year, you could probably leave the car out in the sun and let nature do its thing. But a hair dryer or heat gun will work just fine.
Some like to use very thin fishing line in a sawing motion to cut through the double sided tape (remember the front has alignment pegs). I like dental floss...preferably cinnamon...because I like to re-use it.
I know this is not C5 related but my wife has a 2004 SRX with an antenna glued on both sides of window for satellite radio. Is there any trick to removing this??????

Heat/fishing line probably won't work. I'll bet they're attached with a strong adhesive like interior mirrors. A razor blade would probably be your best bet. Be careful!

Be careful with blades, they can scratch glass and remove end of fingers.
