I bought a set of Pfadt Adjustable shocks from Chip (CCA) and love them. I'm lowered on stock bolts and do 'some' spirited driving and they work well. I like that I can adjust the stiffness when needed.
The inverts are great parts and add a layer of adjustability that will come in handy at the Autox. Our inverted sport shocks are designed to work best for vehicles at stock, or slightly lower than stock ride heights. We have quite a few folks using these shocks in Super Stock where damping adjustability is key, but due to their rule set cannot eliminate their leaf springs.
Most effective and reliable way to substantially lower your C5 is with a set of coilovers. The more you lower the car on stock (or aftermarket) bolts, the more suspension travel you are essentially locking out and not able to use. To maintain proper suspension articulation and get the stance you're looking for is our new Single Adjustable Coilovers which should be available next week. Added major improvements to anything currently available on the Corvette coilover market include a new Ball On Axis (BOA) upper mount for supreme articulation, and increased Gas volume via a custom upper Canister.

Is this the same concept with your Johnny O'Connell Shocks? We lowered my vette to 2.5 fingers rear and 2 fingers front, with the J O'C setup...did I lose some shock travel by lowering?

Yes, as mentioned in the thread there really isn't a way around it. You do lose suspension travel when you lower the car on the stock lowering bolts. That being said, so long as you're not bouncing off the bump stops during street or spirited driving you should be fine. The proper way to really lower the Corvette is with coilovers.
We have both the Inverted sport shocks and the JOC shocks in stock and ready to ship!
Before I went to coilovers, I used Pfadt inverted sport shocks with good success for autocross. You could easily adjust the shocks between runs. I wouldn't go any lower then stock hardware allows. If you do, and don't have stiff springs, you will bottom them.
looks like we have more Pfadt fans lol. i already have the konis that i bought around this time last year but never got around to install them. then after a little bit of homework i started leaning more towards the Pfadt shocks just cause theyre more easy to adjust than the konis.
sucks i really wanted to hear from guys running the konis but now i see a set of pfadt shocks in my future
I got the Koni FSDs about 4 years ago, and with the car lowered on factory bolts, have never been happy with the ride. I don't know how they compare to the model mentioned by the OP, but I'm just sayin', I'm really happy they were on sale. Would not do it again. Of course, alot has happened since then in aftermarket suspension parts, so I'm not sure how my experience could help. Lots of support here for Pfadt products.
With the Pfadts inverted shocks and comp sways I won the last Lap Battle time trail I entered at the Miller Motorsports park with my street c5 z06 overall including race class. Even with a stock motor against high HP fully stripped STIs and Evos. The shocks are awesome
