Good god, I may as well just not even drive the car in this heat. For those who don't know, I added 70 rwhp to my car a few weeks back by way of headers, heads, and an ls6 intake (stock cam still). Car felt great, even in the low 80 heat. Now that it is 96-100 degrees out, the car has absolutely nothing! Must be pulling crazy amounts of timing. I really need to get HPTuners one of these days. Impossible to get your IAT tables right in one dyno tune. Anyone elses car falling flat on it's face in this heat? I am going to the track on Sunday...luckily I live near atco so I can make up for some of the heat since its only 23' above sea level.

I haven't done any performance mods to mine and it seems to be running OK - but I'm with you, I wish this heat would break a bit. Been nearly 100 or even above for about two weeks now.

Yeah when I was stock, I never noticed any power loss in the heat, mostly because I never hammered on it and my expectations weren't high when I nailed it because I knew it wasn't making much power. Now that it has the extra power, I hammer the throttle way too much and got way too used to it.
Modding cars is pointless lol. Not saying I don't love the extra power, but it is never enough....I have heard guys talk about their boosted cars feeling slow after a while.
Its all relative...I was without a fast car for 5 months after I got rid of my 460 rwhp GTO. I picked up the frc this last April and I remember it feeling insanely fast to me when I test drove it (bone stock).
I feel ya! It's 100+ here and my car has about an extra 120hp and it's stretching the cooling capacity a little. Hence the need for aftermarket radiators when making more power which = More heat generated.
Heat is one of the reasons I bought the Vette. My toy was/is a Honda Valkyrie but I was finding fewer and fewer days that the weather was really enjoyable enough to ride. Plus the air conditioning works great on the Vette.
Here on Long Island it hit about 105 and I am leaving my Vert top up and turning my A/C up for the ride home. I love to put the top down, but today it's just too damn hot.
Now you have a taste of what it is like every summer here in Houston.
Cheers
i knew there was a reason i didn't live there.
left work early and packed up some adult beverages, hopped on the bike to go to my buddy's house in the country for a swim. first problem was getting on the highway and finding out i can't breathe with all that hot air in my face [i should know better], then i find out the pool, which is a 9' deep in-grounder, is not as crisp as it was last sunday. but any day at the pool with buddies and beer can't be all bad. i think anyone around here with an above ground pool now has a hot tub whether they want one or not.

Haven't had my top down for a week. Still drive ur every day though. Suposed to have a break in the temps here this week. They even canseled the races this week because of the heat. I like summer but evey day with endexes in the + 110s is kinda much.
