Picked up the car about 3 hours ago... :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Now I know what all you guys were talking about...damn! That is the fastest production car I have ever driven, even though I havent pushed it yet (breaking it in). I was pleasantly surprised by the exhaust note and even more surprised with the shifting. Although there is room for improvement, it isnt all that bad. I have no trouble getting first or reverse (yet).
One slight problem...the GM tech found that one of the CV boots has a razor type cut in it from installation apparently and needs to be replaced. He told me I could either leave the car for 5 days (part is on backorder) or take the car and come back to have it installed.....mmmmmm, tough decision :D He said there should be no problem driving it for a few days until the part arrives.
Actually I was impressed that he found that, he actually did inspect the car.
I will give a thorough washing tonight and go over the finish. I could find no apparent damage yet even on the rocker panels.
This car is everything and more then I expected ...I will post more later after a few more miles.
Congrats Bill. It was well worth the wait. I am just poised to crack the 500 mile mark with mine!! I had the VETTEWRENCH do the CAGS disable for me and I have tinted the car. So far so good!!!! I still cant get over how good this exhaust sounds for a production system. :D
