Dipstick question for c5

I own a 2000 and am replacing the dipstick tube with the 2001 model that connects to the header. Can I use my current dipstick or should I buy the new one with the tube?

I don't have a problem making my own marks on the current stick if that is needed.

I am not sure about your situation, but I know from personal experience the dipstick and dipstick tube is a different length between a 1998 vert and 2004 Z06.

Very interesting. The tube length must be different.
