Swapping out gauge clusters..... WHAT A P-I-T-A$$ !!!
Hope you guys never REALLY have to go through that. It took me 3 hours and the entire dash has to come apart. I can honestly say I'll never do that again unless I REALLY haved to !
3 hours? Just for the gauge cluster? Sounds about right haha. First time i did it it took about 3 hours. After that (done it three more times due to gauge face add-ons and problems with it) i can take it out within 20 minutes. lol.

Take it all out and put it all back together is 20 minutes !! I'd like to see that.

It could be done. Have to have all the right tools laid out and know exactly what you're doing.
I took mine out a couple times to do LED's and gauge trim rings. The first time was slow. Didn't want to screw anything up. The next time went MUCH faster.
20 minutes...all the time. Have all the tools needed, magnetic dish to hold the screws and 4 6mm nuts.
Piece of cake. Hold the steering wheel down after depressing the column adjust lever. Gage cluster literally jumps out.Tilt leftside down and out past turnsignal lever, tilt rightside down and out to clear windshield wiper lever. pull leftside cluster out to unplug wiring harness.
I've done this soo many times.....The center console, radio bezel, knee bolster, and gage cluster almost takes itself apart if I pick a torx driver up! LOL!

So... the dash pad and the glove box DON'T have to come off ??

sorry but there's no way it all comes apart and goes back together in 20 minutes.... maybe an hour or so....
takes me just under an hour and that is w/o hand jobbing the screws
I have a small 1/4 inch drive electric screwdiver that is made for doing interior work
I can get it out in about 10 minutes
but
I take my time putting it back together
I would presume that your headlights worked fine before the conversion (upgrade), so I would look only at what you added.
Hud switch, wire harness, illumination adjuster, fuses and make sure all of your connections are tight.
Everything worked perfect. Just checked the fuse, nothing wrong with it..... looks like I'll be pulling the WHOLE dash apart again tomorrow.... there goes 3 hours again...

Start early as it gets hot out there very quickly at this time of the year.
can the cluster be removed without removing the dash pad and the clove box ?
Yes,
The easist way to remove it is to remove;
- Radio Bezel
- Knee Bolster
- Lossen Steering column bolts underneath (2) 13mm.
- Use T15 to remove Upper Screws and lower screws and then slide it out.
