Rainy day corvette
That there is funny

Before I finally got the side leaks from the targa top fixed, I never took it out if chance of rain (although I did get caught once or twice).
Now that I have the leaks solved, Im not nutz about it, but I still dont grab that car if its gonna rain, I just take the truck.
But I agree, its not gonna melt
Actually, come to think of it, now that water inside isnt a concern I'm looking forward to a little wet driving in an offroad/paved setting just to explore the drift reactions without using up too much tire.
Yes, it's a funday, date car, garage queen. When i purchased it last year, it was 1300mi showroom clean and I prefer to keep it that way(not the miles, just the clean).
Besides, I have 2 other cars to drive if the weather is harsh. But in all honesty, I don't drive those in the rain either if I can keep from it. Fortunately for me, being self employed as a window contractor doesn't allow me to work on rainy days. So I rarely have to drive in the rain anyway.
I know, I know, I'm ****...just ask my wife.

But I do try to avoid it. It sprinkled here a couple of months ago and I got caught out in it driving home. Pulled up to the house and washed it immediately then put it away.
I didn't know you could get 'em wet

Must admit that if it's a really rainy day i won't take the car out, but otherwise, Vette's are designed to have fun in, come rain or shine!! Am wondering, however, what would happen if I tried to take the car out after it's snowed enough that the drifts are higher than the car itself...... (picturing the car sitting at the end of my driveway, supported by the snow underneath it, and all 4 tires up in the air)

It developed into "biblical" rain....like you couldnt see across the street for a while.
No worries, nothing leaks now that I have that cleared up
Example, I parked next to a 87 GN at the big Buick show at Beach Bend in Bowling Green in 1993. My GN was a DD, his had 18 miles on it in 5 years.
Living in Louisville, I see truck loads of Vettes northbound on I-65 in all types of weather, so your car was in weather at one time, is what I say to them.
I keep mine really clean, but we take it on vacations, bugs, water, dirt, etc, it all cleans up when I get home. Now in town I drive my Ranger on rainy days, and in parking lots. I have put 80,000 on the truck since I owned the vette, that is 80K not on my vette.
