Default A 'nice buy'

What constitutes a 'nice' or 'good' buy? A term I see on Mecum a lot is 'well bought'.

Discussing C5's, and let's say for $20,000 which is better, all other things being somewhat equal,
a 1998 with 18k miles, or a 2004 with 40k? where do the other years figure in here?
I don't want a hard rider, so either the base or F55 suspension seems to be the best idea, but the suspension options changed thru the C5 run.
Any ideas would be appreciated!!
Thanks

For the same money (assuming the cars are both in the same shape) I would go with the 2004. 40k miles is still low mileage for an '04.

This is the way I look at it... In 10 years from now when both cars have high miles on them, the '04 will still be 6 years newer.

Thats a good point...
Or you could say the other way around.. Its 12 years old an only 50,000 miles..
Just be picky an buy the best one... Dont settle...

Although I have a '98, I'd have to agree, 40K is not alot of miles for a C5 and would be a good buy for an 04. Zuti

I would go for the low miles, but to some degree i also would want the newer model. Guess that's why I bought an '04 with low miles. But not for $20K.

My search was easier because it was a little more condensed as I was searching for an '02-'04 Z with low miles.

So there you have it. Once again, I'm no help at all.
