so dealing with my column lock issue ive gotton great feed back and also things that i didnt understand but never the less great info. ive done some asking around specificly to a gm mechanic(retired) and he got me thinking so i wanted to share and see if it makes sense to anyone else. with that said my column lock issue is not dealing with the normal column locking but rather the car shutting off at the 2mph mark> i get the "pull key ten seconds" after i do that i get "service column lock" but no locking column. so i got to thinking and i was wondering since i lost the original key and had to replace it with a new one about a year ago and then replaced the battery about a month ago. Is it possible that when i put the new battery the system reset to original codes preventing from the key being read by the comp? any feed back would be appreciated. i think im just thinking crazy now!!!!!:c hevy
