Default What's really needed for the C5?

The aftermarket has a gazillion accessories for our beloved C5's. Every vendor seems to have another version of the many familiar items.

Question now is...What is really missing from the marketplace for our C5...any particular thoughts on this?

Should be a short list at this point, but ya never know...what say you?

Updated replacement HVAC controls - right Dennis?

Better steering wheel option with airbag like what Ace has for the C6

Fuel sensor and sending units that work all the time.
It ain't rocket science GM, just do it.
Same for a column lock that works, althought the bypass is OK with me.

Smaller steering wheel which retains the airbag.

about 40 bux will take care of that. just do a search in the C5 section on cupholders and you'll find the travel buddy (they make either a single or a double). great product, easy to put in, not permanent and can be put in or taken out in about 5 seconds (if that long). from time to time some one will be selling one privately also.

as for what the C5 "needs" that was missing...........my vote goes to a true double din radio size that would allow owner options without having to mod the radio bezel to do it (no offense, dennis). when double d did mine, i couldn't believe the difference it makes not to mention the built in features that open up like satellite radio built in or ipod/iphone/mp3 player cabling, etc. to me, mine is an 04, so other than locating the oil sender in a convenient location for when it goes south (to make change out easy without first having to modify it's location). most of the rest is just window dressing to meet the tastes of the owner.

I'm curious why anyone would need an LS6 specifically?

Get the double cupholder sold here by the vendor. I upgraded my radio with new speakers, subwoofer, and amp., besides that I can't think of anything.

ASA stock cars use the LS6 as a sealed program engine and NASA ST2 class needs the LS6 380-385 rwhp

Plus one to that, especially seeing how mine is crapping out.

Yes I would. I think mine just crapped out.

But the best thing IMO would be items priced decently. They're way too expensive.

But I suppose everything is.

An aftermarket Intake manifold that fits ....

FAST made the only GOOD intake manifold 90, and the 92.
FAST does not make the 90, or the 92 anymore...
You are forced to look for a used one if you want one.

The new FAST 102 will not fit our C5's. You have to shim the frame to get it to fit or it will hit the firewall..... Nice to see they did there homework on this ... I'm not paying that kind of money for something that does not fit...
