Default High Pitch Whine When Accelerating

I have to have the radio off and the windows up to hear it, but it is a subtle high pitch whine, almost like a roots style blower noise, but much quiter. Fluids are fine, and car runs strong, only 14k on the car. Normal? Thoughts?

Yes, it is normal. You're hearing the transmission.

I second it being normal transmission sound.

But have you noticed anything else other than the sound? Does it still run just as good as ever?

I had a whine that sounded like it was the rear end. Ended up being a bad alternator.

Runs stout as ever. Just wanted to make sure. Don't remember the sound on my old Z. Scared me a bit, thought it may be a bearing. Whew.

I don't think it is the diff, sound "seems" like its coming from underneath or in front of me. Would be hard to decipher between trans and diff. No leaky butt, no grinds, no roaring. Maybe this is normal, just don't remember on my old z06, but it had a bad leaky butt.

That is belt whine. I just got through replacing all the belts on my car to fix that.
