I have a certificate for a free set of flowmaster mufflers or the hush power mufflers my question is are these junk? or are they good for a vette and if I did get them would I have to get other parts of the exhaust system to make them work or could I just swap them with what I have ? If its too much trouble does any think I could sell them or trade for something? I did call the company in CA. and they said to put my info on the back and what I wanted and they would ship them to my door ,any help would be greatly appreciated Thank you , and the Vettes on the Square was an awesome show this past weekend 257 cars total.

I think your question would be best answered by the company you are getting them from, There isn't enough info here for me to answer your question.
Mr.Bill
I have a set of Flowmasters on my C5. ($500 for the set - installed.) They are a direct fit with no problems. Just enough rumble at idle and cruising to know that they are not stock. At WOT they are pretty decent. I experience some drone at cruising.
Hope that helps.

I know there are members here that are running flowmasters on their cars - and I don't recall them complaining about the fit. Should be a direct replacement for your stock system.
My car came with FlowMasters and I really liked the sound...but not the look of the tips (split ovals). However, the internal baffles came loose and rattled all over badly. I've posted this before here and I think only one other person had a similar experience.
But I really liked the low rumble and scream at WOT. I'd still have them if they hadn't failed.
I have them on my 99 and love them! Then again, I did work at Flowmaster for 2 1/2 years as lead tech advisor.
Note that there are two sets of part numbers for the C5 mufflers - one set had "double D" style tips, the other has quad, 2 1/2" round, polished stainless tips with the Flowmaster logo embossed along the top. The later is what I have on mine. The rust out problem previously descirbed is usually caused by too many short trips which causes condensation build up - the exhaust system rarely gets fully heated up.

flowmaster recommends that you install an X pipe to eliminate the cruising speed drone. it can get pretty bad and give you a pretty quick headache and i would suggest it if you decide to go with the flowmaster setup.

Mahalo! That's good to know. The drone is a real bummer on long trips. But in Hawaii the only long trip is on a freeway and that's just a few miles - 20 tops!
