I recently purchased a hyperflash harness from one of the sites supporting vendors. I'd rather not get into names. After the simple "Plug and Play installation", I had to replace my Hazard Switch/Flasher. Bought another led flasher and many 20 amp fuses. tried to contact the vendor and he hasn't responded. After reviewing the Hazard/Flasher assembly schematic, I realized the pin-out was totally wrong. Basically the male end had been pinned upside down and one wire was in the wrong spot. I took the connector apart and placed the pins in the correct location, had to get another electronic flasher and replace the Hazard switch which is not too bad but had to wonder at this point if LED's are worth all this. Well, after replacing the Hazard switch i got the Emergency lights back. Then I plugged in the corrected harness with the new flasher and all went well. The purpose of this whole write up is just to give you the opportunity to learn from my mistake. No Matter who the vendor is, always check the pin out of any "jumper type harness". It may save you a lot of work and a good amount of cash. Best to you all.
That sucks. I bought the harness also an it worked great for me. I was was really having second thoughts about it but I was proved wrong. I'm really glad I bought it.
Hope it turns out for you

Man, tough break on getting a defective harness. Glad you were able to figure it out and get it to work but what a PITA having to replace all those flashers and fuses.
I installed the hyperflash harness on mine when I went with halo LED taillights and thankfully it works perfectly.
Thanks to you all. After I put the pins in the correct position everything went as planned. I like the Harness, I just wish it had been right. Sure would have saved me a lot of time and a little money.
I hear you and your post has merit, but in light of your discretion (in not making this a "this vendor sold me..." thing) the main concern is that the vendor is made aware of the problem with his product, thats what will minimize the impact. Judging from the way you handled this, Im sure that already done
BTW, I have one also, mine worked fine from the start.
Great job on troubleshooting and correcting this. I recently installed the white LED's for my DRLs and thought about getting the harness but I now like the hyper flash as I think it makes my turn signals more visable to other drivers.

If you were informed enough to repair it you could have made your own from the posts I've read. I understand wanting a correct plug in unit though.
Vendor should offer some compensation for your efforts or at least some acknowledgement.

I'm sorry you went thru an ordeal but this should have started with a PM to the vendor. There are very few venders that sell the hyperflash harness and I'm certain that they would have offered some kind of compensation for your hassle.
My harness (from JW Motoring if I remember correctly) worked perfectly and if it hadn't i have absolutley no doubt he's have made it right with me.
Thanks again to you all. I have made the Vendor aware. Yes it would be very easy to make this flasher by-pass harness. Don't even need a harness. A simple LED Flasher with 2 or 3 contacts. Named an electronic flasher at the parts store. Simply take the pink and purple wire out of the existing Harness or cut and splice in. They can be unpinned with a small pin or nail. Pull them out, install a female connector on each wire and plug into the LED flasher. Caution! Be certain which one is hot before plugging it in. Also make certain the wires you are splicing into are going back toward the steering column and not the Hazard Switch. When we activate the turn indicator we want the turn signal arms request to be intercepted by the LED flasher. For 2 wire flashers there will be only a Hot terminal and a load terminal. On the 3 wire unit, a ground has to be supplied to the 3rd terminal. Once again, please use a voltage meter and identify the hot wire. It's either the Pink or the Purple the other of the 2(Pink or Purple), will be the load wire or the wire that provides the power to the outside lights. I have the 3 terminal LED flasher. 02 to 20 amp load approved. I added a ground to the steering column bolt to avoid cutting into any wiring. Works like a charm! I now have the whole car over to LED's. LED Halo Tail Lights, LED side markers, LED Tag lights, Switchbacks for DRL's, LED's for front clear corner side markers also. Lighted door reflectors, Puddle lights, RGB LED ground effects, LED entry lights, LED console strip. It sure is perrty!!!
I have one of those harnesses. Mine still don't work. When installed it just hums and makes a steady burn. I have led bulbs in all lights. These are bulbs only not replacement led lights. Started when I changed the DLR's to a led bulb. Now all are changed to led bulbs. Does a great hyper flash but not what I was looking for. Anyone know why my harness don't work??
P.S. contacted the vendor and the suggestion was to replace flasher with another new one. Did it and still no workie!!
