Looking for a jack small and light enough carry in the car. Don't care if it's a sissor or hydraulic but it has to be very low. Bought a compressor and a plug kit and threw a piece of 2x6 to drive up on in a bag in the rear. My car is lowered so I'm looking for a small LOW jack to carry in case I catch a nail. Any suggestions?
I bought one on that auction site for a (wrecked) late model Dodge (or maybe a Pontiac GTO...) fits under my OEM 03 vert with a jacking puck. These jacks also fit into the middle cubby just fine.

Reason: more info
Search this topic, several years ago a member in Germany (Frederick?) was obtaining a jack out of Mercedes. Many members bought them. (including myself) Jack is light weight, folds up tight, and has a plastic buffer already on it. Works very well on these cars. I found mine in a junk yard in Florida.
I have a lowered C5Z ( on stock bolts ) and I have a harbor frieght hydraulic jack. They often have them on sale for $59 or so. I use a jacking puck and it still fits under the car on pavement.
It's small and light and fits in the big well in the back of the car.

This is one of those questions that gets asked a lot. You should be able to find plenty with search or search this forum, including the european jack referenced above. There's lots of options to chose from.
The Mazda RX7 and Porsche both came oem with aluminum scissors jacks. They're light weight and will collapse down to approx. 3.5". I found mine on EBAY. Use "aluminum scissors jack" or similar as keywords. This link is only as a reference. I don't know the seller... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/85-PO...item3a694c81ea
Another possibility is an expensive billet hot rod scissors jack from CALIFORNIA CAR COVER COMPANY which I've suggested previously. It's 1.5" high and can lift 2000 lbs. http://www.prweb.com/releases/Califo...web4393724.htm

I got mine out of a 05? dodge stratus... jack and tools with lug wrench...
bought a slime kit with a small compressor and a set of tire plugs... hope to never use any of it.
I would only use a "slime kit" with non-runflats. Even then, I'd plug the tire (if I could find the puncture) and fill it before I'd use the "slime". Your rim is a mess, and so it your TPMS.
I'm using a small aluminum jack from a late 90's Mercedes E-Class. It weighs just under 3 pounds, and the collapsed height is 2.75", so it will fit under a C5/C6 with a flat tire. Mercedes engineered it and built it, so I'm sure it's strong enough to support a C5/C6 without any worries.

The slime is a last ditch effort..... would all depend on where I was stranded with a flat......
The jack in my Miata would fit under the vette and might be easier to find than some of the others. Its not aluminum though. I am not sure what its rated for.
