I'll tell you something else he designed, the Caravaggio spoilers and front canards. He originally intended the parts to be GM accessory parts. When that didn't fly he sold the molds to his friend, John Caravaggio. That's why they look integrated with the car's design.
I think he was and is a fabulous designer. If you ever read the book, "All Corvettes are Red" you get to really appreciate how hard he and his team worked to beat the other two studios who were given the task of designing the "New" C5 Corvette. The project was put up on the shelve, then taken back down so many times they were wearing out the binders. And Mr. Cafaro went from working on the Corvette to working on the Cavalier, Back and forth , back and forth. But he had something in short supply today, Purpose & Conviction. And he had to keep his boss Mr. Palmer at bay, who disliked everything.
But in the end the now built and sunset-ed Corvette C5 of his teams design won out over all the others. You can see the difference is simple, Look at the C5 and then the Carmaro? Unfortunately the bosses who took the reins of a nearly bankrupt company decided to go with the new team of untested and in my opinion sadly lacking in talent, apprentice designers who build things like most Cadillacs and of course, the 'New 'Camaro'. So I think the Camaro design team should have gone to work for one of the Movie studios and stayed there. If the Movie "Transformers" was so great, they should of stayed there and kept designing these razor sharp angled vehicles forever and keep coming up with different combination of letters names. But most all currently built automobiles are designed by amateurs in my humble opinion. But that's not worth $0.01.

I understand that John Cafaro is now with the Buick program. Does anybody know any details? (IMHO he designed the most beautiful car ever)
The word is he was transferred to the Buick division, but I think his work on the C5 was without a doubt, the best since Bob McLean and the final work by Larry Shinoda on the 1963 SWC was the automotive design statement of the century.
But now we into the futuristic / "Transformers" designers captivated with with sharp angles and razor edges. I'm too old to even get enthusiastic about the new designs, but that's just me.
