help deciding on which clutch
hey guys. i have an 03 Z06 current mods.... LG Pro LT's. catless, Halltech venom II. B&B bullets, tune, and mickey thompson ET street drag radials. i want to upgrade the clutch in the car and i was told to go with an LS7 clutch by a local shop. But i want to do a 150 shot in a few months and when i got to the track i want to be able to launch it pretty hard and the clutch be ok.
any advice is appreciated. just wanted a clutch that will hold up to a hard launch on a 150 shot and be as quiet and as close to stock feel as possible. thanks guys.

Do not go with the LS7 if you're going to spray it.
I have similar mods and am happy with my Monster 2 clutch, but I don't know about that if you're going to spray.

looks like the Mcleod RST is going to be perfect for me. read several reviews and all of them say nothing but positive things with a stock pedal feel. looks like we have a weiner

The squealing comes from a clutch being excessively slipped and building up a glaze that doesn't get knocked off from driving aggressively. We did however reformulate the Level 3 disc this year to help combat this. The pedal effort is only ~8% stiffer than stock, now if you take out your spring from installing an adjustable master cylinder at the same time it will make it considerably stiffer. It's rated to 700rwhp and will no doubt hold the power you plan on making. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
