Short tubes will give little gain. For the price and install according to many it is almost not worth it for the short tubes. The long tubes are a big gain for not much more money then the short tubes. But if you are in a state like California I think "legally" all we can do is short tubes.

Yes...your stock converters are a cork in the exhaust system. Most sets (mine are XS Power, excellent product) come with the full system including X-pipe and either with high flow cats or offroad pipes. To me, HF cats don't do sh** to cut down on the smell....so you'd might as well go off-road system.
I will gut my cats soon, louder and more aggressive sound
