Default Going to FUNFEST? Please Read This!

Hi Everyone.

Mid America has changed the Corvette parking area/procedure this year. They have also added new roads and facilities around the show area. All Corvettes will enter at gate 4 this year.

In the past they have reserved a good sized (room for about 100 cars) section for the forum. If you pre-registered for club parking or just showed up and told them you were with the forum there was room in that area for your car. Things are much tighter this year.

Actual club registration was closed last Friday. Only 8 people from the forum registered so they have allotted the forum only 8 parking spots!

If we move fast we can get more spots but we only have till the end of this week. There are 2 ways to handle this.

1. If you want to actually register for club parking even though it is closed online call Jill Vonderheide at 217-540-4264 by Friday 9/2

2. If you want to register online with "regular registration" or just show up and register but park in the reserved forum parking area you must post here and tell me how many vettes you are bringing by Friday 9/2 at noon. I will turn that count in to Mid America then so they can give us more spots.

Note:
1. You can register online with "regular registration" or just show up and register with out being in my "count" but you will have to park with the masses further away. If you register online and want your parking sticker/paperwork mailed to you do so by September 9th or you will have to pick it up at the gate.

Regular Registration link: http://corvettefunfest.com/products-page

If you post here for a spot tell the attendant to direct you to the forum parking, they may call it forum overflow parking.

I registered awhile ago and paid extra for the "upgaded parking" . Which would be better to use? This is my first time attending.

Thanks

Stick with the upgraded unless most of your friends are somewhere else.

Update.

Things have changed from my original post. Sorry for the confusion as it seems parking guidelines were still in flux this week.

1.The only people parking in forum reserved parking will be the people who have called Jill by today and registered for club parking. There are 9 as of now. If you are planing on using a canopy in the club area you had to purchase an extra spot for the canopy as there will be no extra room. Your sticker will be Green.

2. Everyone else, including those who posted for me to get a count will get a yellow sticker and be parking in the large field to the east of the concert stage. Registration is still open for this. If you register by Sept 9th you will get a packet in the mail, after that you will pick it up at the gate. There is nothing wrong with this parking and you will have just as much fun.

3. People who register for premium parking, $50, will get a better/closer spot than 1 or 2 above. Registration is still open for this.

4. All vettes enter at gate 4.

I am looking forward to fine show and a great concert Sat night. See you there.
