I've noticed in my peripheral vision that this little green logo that says "MPH" in the top center of my speedometer flashes sometimes. It's not a repetitive flash or anything, more like it brightens and then dims every 7 seconds or so. Not sure if it does this all the time or what. I don't think it ever does it when I have my headlights on. I was wondering if this is some type of sensor for the twilight sentinel showing when the auto headlights would turn on or something? Any thoughts?

Mine is blue and it does change at times, Its brightness depends on the outside lighting, Like if the car goes through some shade it changes, It is normal.

When driving on a sunny day, you can notice the brightness of the "BLUE" MPH display change. When in a sunlit area of the road it will be at its brightest. When the car goes into a shaded area the display will dim. Corvette engineers did not want us to be blinded with a super bright MPH display when in the shade or on a cloudy day. Just think of the potential liability from all of the drivers blinded by the display who got in wrecks.
I thought I was seeing things, but when I try to catch it in shaded areas or in lit areas I don't notice anything happen. It's when I'm not paying attention I notice in my periph that it either dimmed or brightened. Weirds me out cause I can't figure out when it does what it's doing haha.

Pretty sure you have a ghost in your car based on your description.
I'm wondering if it is tied in with the same light level sensor as the HUD and headlight activation. Note that when you head directly into the low sun, the HUD becomes very bright so you can see it.
Look at it in the bright sunlight, then put your finger over the little sensor over the top button of the DIC buttons and you'll see it dim. Or shine a light into it at night and you'll see it brighten. (if the sensor is working)
