Thanks in advance for your help. How do you remove a relay. Does it just pull out. I'm learning as I go. Any advice is appreciated. Reverse lights quit working. Bulbs and fuses are good. So I'm down to relay or I heard there was a switch on the manual tranny, is there one on the A4's as well.
They are just like a fuse, Just pull it out, Are you talking about the ones in the fuse boxes?
Mr.Bill
Yep that's the ones. I am looking at #38 under the hood that says backup. Do you know if there's a switch on the Automatic tranny's for the reverse lights. Last thing I wanted to do was break something and make it worse.
Thanks for the info Mr Bill.
Yes they just pull off. If you want to replace it, a good way to test it is by switching it with the horn relay because they are the same relay type/number. Yes there is a switch on the A4's.

Yes there is a switch on the transmission and its quite fragile. Its a $20 part
I haven't had the problem on the Vette but we're on the 3rd switch on my son's Camaro. They often break down internally and cause the fuse to blow. maybe yours just died quietly?
You pull the electrical connector and then unscrew the sensor. Make sure you have the new one ready to go in as you'll get a little weeping of fluid until you relocate the new sensor.
