Just installed a set of LED reverse/back-up lights and have problems... they glow slightly all the time and don't work when the car is in reverse. The little bit of instructions state to "simply reposition/ reverse the lights" in the opposite direction to assure proper positive and negative allignment. However the small protrusion that lock the bulbs in place won't allow simply turning the bulbs in a different direction. So what to do??? Cut the wires to the bulb recepticals, switch and reconect the wires??? Any help?
Take the bulbs out turn them 180* and put them back in. You have them 180*'s out.
Got the bulbs form a vender on the forum also. And tried to turn them 180*, however due to the offset of the pens/protusions on the shaft of the brass housing on the bulbs, one being higher than the other, I don't see how they can be turned and inserted in the recommended 180* fashion. If both of the pens/protusions were located in the same position on the brass housing they could easily be swapped in the 180* manner listed on the instructions and as you've pointed out. Maybe I'm just missing something. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll look at the bulbs again.
I had the same issues with my 99 vert. I bought my bulbs from a vendor on the forum. I end up sending them back for a full refund. Didn't feel like going thru the headache of trying to fix them.
When I first installed my LED reverse bulbs, they seemed rather dim. One actually looked brighter than the other. Believe it or not, I simply took them out and reinstalled them in the opposite socket that I first put them in. *POOF* Like magic, they worked perfectly.

i had the always one problem with reverse leds and i had to put a resistor in. the leds dont put enough load on the line so the car thinks a bulb is out. you can even add a new socket and bulb to the line to test it.
