HUD tripping today
I drove about 20 miles to get a part for another car, as I was pulling off an overpass, the HUD looked like it was projecting the circuit board. then faded back to normal, did this about 4 times, and was perfect after that. Why would it do this?

Maybe sunlight going in at the right angle to cause the reflection on the windshield.

but it was quite worrying the first time I saw it
The HUD uses an angled lens to project the symbology onto the windscreen. When the sun catches it at a certain angle it floods the display and you see all the symbology projected at the same time.
