Picking up a used ZO6 for mostly track use. I have a lot of questions because i have never modded an american car before. Previous car was an 05 Supercharged M3 and now i drive a MB for my daily. I am looking to get my car in the 10's as my M3 was only good for 11's and took alot of money and work to get there. If someone could respond with a quick list of what mods i need to upgrade(tansmission, axle, engine, suspension) i would appreciate it. I have done a little research and i know i am going to go with the Kenne Bell TS but am wondering what else i should add. Thanks for the help.
The DRIVER mod is the only one you will need to start. I recommend changing brake fluid to Castrol SRF. You can use stock pads initially, but I would switch to race pads like Cobalt XR2, DT-70, or PFC-01. Try NT-05 street tires until you can drive them as fast as anyone else on street tires, then switch to Hoosier A6 track tires. Eventually you might need coolers, but not for a year or two. Save your money for track time.

Especially on the Nitto NT 05s, pretty darn good street tire for the track. Once you start using the race pads, take an extra set of rotors with you too.
Also check out the autocross road racing section....some pretty experience people on there.
This combo usually works. You might want to post over in the forced induction section.
A&A or ECS SC
Longtubes (with or without high flow cats)
Basic fuel upgraded (Pump, injectors, KB Bap)
Methanol Injection
Clutch of choice (stock clutch will not hold)
Sticky tires
Good driver
You might also want to go with a hardened output shaft. It will eventually break the stock on.
