Default Column Lock Simulator Removal- Need Help ASAP

So I got the kit and I am following the instructions. I removed the trunk release plate and wires. Removes the 2 screws under the dash pad. Then the next step tells me to remove the Air Temperature Sensor Cover Plate (done), the disconnect the plug (how?), and remove the screw (already did that.)

Do I need to remove the bezel around the stereo to get to the plug? if so, why don't the instructions say that? Or what am I missing. The knee pad definitely seems like it won't come out how it sits now. I think the part of the stereo bezel that goes around the ignition and air temperature senor is an issue.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I got it figured out. Another website had a good pictorial on how to do it.

No the bezel does not need to be removed.

To remove the sensor is tricky. You need to more or less squeeze an twist the sensor to make it fit thru the hole.
Kinda hard to explain. An try not to touch the sensor or mess the foam up around the sensor.
Just play with it. It will fit threw the hole right behind it.
Good luck

Glad you figured it all out.
Wasn't all that bad either, was it.

I realize you now have it installed. For anyone else anticipating installing a CLB, a combination of the instructions (hopefully included) and this (for the images) helped me...

I did remove the radio surround as well. That took a few extra minutes.

I used that as well, but I wasn't sure if the site would get mad for an outside link. I know they deleted mine before.

It was actually pretty painful. I'm a big guy and have massive joint pain issues, so getting under their was painful. Not difficult, but painful. I think I could do it in 20 minutes now.
