I'm looking for a replacement cover and foam for my console lid. Everything I see is either a cover that goes over the old cover or a cover that is plain. I want a reproduction of the original that is in light oak with the correct C5 flags. I'm hitting a brick wall with this piece. Any help?
try Vette Essentials, Matt can probably do what you want
Vette Essentials has the best leather interior in my opinion. My center console has been in since 2003 and it's perfect. I'm going to take a pic and add it here shortly.
We can do any color combo any color stitching you like.
Here is a black with red stiching we did and the console base is also covered as well
We can add the logo as well for you too or any logo
cost with no logo is 175.00 to recover with core exchange(we send you one and you send yours back)
add 35.00 for the logo
just call me and we can do this for you
We are working on a bezel with full leather wrap coming soon with black sides and light oak center as well
Vette Essentials or Apsis can help you out. I just ordered all new interior from Apsis at Carlisle cant wait to get it in. The consol lid is like you are asking for it looks factory and isnt just a cover.
You couldnt go wrong with either place, and you better have your wallet open cause good quality isnt cheap.

I don't have a problem with a cover that would go over ther existing cover if that's what it takes, but wouldn't it look obvious that the console cover is now twice as thick as it's supposed to be?
I'm just a guy who loves a stock appearance. The cars were great the way they left the Bowling Green assembly.
There's a lot of nice looking leather in this thread.
I recieved a cover this week that I thought was a reproduction of the original. Other that a decent color match, the logo size is too small, logo placement is in the wrog position and seems to be off 180 degrees. The stitching is wrong as well.
The original cover appears to be tapered facing forward on the car. The replacement also appears to be tapered as well and if so, the logo is facing the wrong direction. The forward facing end would also have stitching that would be be on top of the installed cover and not along the sides.
Can any of the vendors mentioned be able to recreate an OE console cover?

we can
just need to know what you want and all the details
to bad you were not closer to Dubuque Iowa today or you could come see my car and what the leather on my lid looks like
We take apart the original lid
recover the top as shown above and it looks better than stock.
Are you just wanting it wrapped in leather with no stitching and a logo?
this should not be a problem at all
call me anytime
at car show today so setting around watching people so not in shop but here is my cell

The original has a seam running along the sides. My plan is to make it look the way it came from the factory. I won't bother you today. You can PM me with a quote to do the work.

Actually those are a cover and they do stand out some due to the extra cushion they put in.
But the good thing about them is they raise the area so your arm is better placed and it's more comfy.
To the OP,
You can take them apart and recover them yourself for pennies on the dollar and it will give you the stock look you're going for. It's pretty simple to do. Even if you just take some leather and go over your existing cover without adding any cushion, or very little. There's a write up in the C4 section from a member who did it and it turned out great!

The main difference I found when comparing the options is that some are covers which fit over the OEM padding. These can sometimes have a softer "pillow" look and then there are those by VE and other vendors that completely replace the OEM core and are mounted to the lid frame.

This is a reach, but I would love to see a before/after side shot of this application.
