Default LeatherSeats.com : Looking to replace seats

Any member use this company to upgrade their stock C5 corvette seat? They have a sale on (ebay), both front & pass. seats for $549.00. The seats are just like OEM, leather front facing with vinyl backing. Don't mind that, why pay for leather on the back when you don't see or use it, I'm thinking. Also they have all new foam for $250. My deal is the drivers seat is worn on the bolsters (given) and the foam has lost it's shape, but the passenger seat looks like brand new. I want stock, was planning on having the center made with microfiber, but this price is too good to pass up, interested in hearing others..

I'm not going to comment on the quality of the seat skins about which you are inquiring - but I will say that new skins regardless of from where you purchase them, are sized to fit new uncompressed foam.

That being said - if you are planning on a new skin on your existing passenger side foam, you may well encounter a problem with fit and wrinkles.

Good luck with your project.

I bought new seats, shifter and Ebrake boots and door panels for them for my son's MR2 and they did a beautiful job including the monogram.
I just bought new seat covers for my 04 Vette from Corvette Motor Sports and the leather is really beautiful. Dave is a vendor here and you should contact him.

If you want a nice upgrade....try to find some C6 seats. They're much nicer than the C5 seats

I purchased a pair sport seat covers from e bay...LC leather (or realleather seat covers) and had them custom embroidered, fast delivery, good quality as of yet have not installed them. Brought them into a upholstery shop and the owner said leather front and vinyl back and sides double stiched, as stock Corvette...said they looked fine and I will have him install along with seat foam and heaters this fall after season is finished. Paid $350 seats, $50- embroidery and $90- for pair of heaters. Foam from Vette essentials $350-. The kicker is $450- for install and I have to bring seats in. Hope all goes well as far as fit!?!? Must postively get rid of old seat foam as killing my back, completely flat worn out. Greetings, Rob

Yea, I know thus why I put the ebay for the foam at $250, another good deal. I will do both, a local upholstery shop said $250 to install both, so it's gonna be close to $1,000. I can't wait to order... waiting for a few more comments... thanks guys..

I've had Leatherseats.com in my car over 3 years now and they look like new. I converted my standard seats into sport seats so I replaced the foam and I also had them done by a pro installer.......

I used seat covers from leatherseats.com. They look great and fit perfect on my original foam. No wrinkles.

The seat frames are the same in standard and sport seats, all you need to do is replace the foam and covers to make them into sport seats....

HMannini, thanks, that looks great, I'm going for all black, keeping to stock appearance, sleeper look. You guys are great thanks... gonna place my order next end of month.. Also I've heard of the re-inforcement for the foam so the metal edges and springs won't cut them, I"ll look into that as well, want to do it right... Thanks

The vendor you asked about is well spoken of on the Impala SS forums. I have never read a bad review and they have done multiple group buys for the Impala guys over the years.
