I assume you want non-run flats?

Get the Michelin Pilot Sports..... I got the Kumho Ecstas on my 2004, but that's only because there was a very long backlog on the Michelins when I needed tires, and the price was great on the Kumho's.

I don't regret getting the Kumho's, but if I had it to do again I would get the Michelins.

I'm in the same boat. I've ordered as set of Hankook Ventus V12s (non-runflat tires). They get good reviews and are very reasonably priced.

Went with Continental DW - very quite and very pleased - about $1,100 installed balanced and front-end align

That's what I have on my car. The non run flats make the ride much softer, and for $500 bucks for four tires, its hard to beat.

Another user of the Hankook Ventus V12 - put them on my car late last year and so far I'm pleased.

Indeed.... if you're going the non runflat route, Hankook V12's are the best tire for the least money. I currently have them on all fours. If money is no object, my recommendation would be for Continental ContiSport Contact3's.

Don't spend the bux for run flats, get a good tire and pop for AAA. Take a bottle of wine and a couple of cheap plastic glasses on every road trip. If you lose a tire, call AAA and pop open the wine while U wait.

Depending on where the flat occurs at, you may need more than 1 bottle and a couple of glasses for your newly found friends!

Buy Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 or Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus

both are available with or without runflat (ZP)

The best money can buy

Second choice would be Hankook based on money savings

Hey, 87Sam and Rich-L, any problems with those Goodyears? On a 7K road trip this summer, I must have hit a pothole, because my Eagle F1's wore down to the cords on the outside rim. Goodyear was no help at all, and said I should get an alignment every time I hit a pothole. http://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/sr...illy_nilly.gif Just wondered about anyone else having a similar situation. Good Luck, BCLewis!

I got Yokohama S Drive's a month or so ago. I like them. Tread rating of 300. They are nice & sticky. I hope I'll get 20,000 miles out of them. I don't know... Would have gotten the Yokohama Advan Sport's (tread rating 180-more sticky but probably only a 10,000 mile tire) but they were unavailable anywhere at the time.

go with the michelins non-run flats. Tire Racks price is great, and the ride and performance is second to none. you will not be sorry.

Yeah that's what I've been thinking about. Goodyears on the one I just bought. Rears still have about half tread but the fronts are shot. I can't decide if I want to stay with the stock sizes or go to the C6 18-19 and buy wheels plus the tires. So started looking out for a couple used ones for the front in the meantime.
