I live in Northwest Arkansas. I am blessed and fortunate enough to be able to drive my C5 to church this morning. On the way, my wife and I were going south on I540 a little after 9 am. Just a little south of the Springdale 412 exit, Firemen with a large American flag lifted by a crane were on an overpass in memory and honor of 9-11. I rolled down my window and waved in support and they waved back.
After church, we ate lunch out with some friends. Then we came home, changed clothes and took the C5 on a top off cruise through the beautiful hills just east from were we live.
Now I sit in my air conditioned home watching football and surfing the web. Thinking back on my peaceful day, I cannot help but think about all those who lost their lives 10 years ago today and all those who serve in the military and emergency services and say thank God, and thanks to the men and women that sacrifice to keep our great nation this way.
Maybe the C5 forum is not the best place to do this, but just in case there is anyone viewing that is or has served in our military, and our emergency services, I just would like to say thanks from the bottom of my heart for keeping our nation free and great and safe. Its because of your service that I can experience a peaceful day like today.
These,in fact, are the days where we remember how lucky and blessed we are to be Americans. It never seems to be enough said, but yes, thank you indeed.
Always remember and never take anything for granted.
