Default A/C low side cap missing

So I must have lost my cap that goes on the low side of the A/C when I recharged it.
First question:
Is it necessary to have this cap on to prevent pressure and refrig loss?
Second Question:
Does anyone have one they can send me off of a donor car they have?

Thanks guys

Yes, dirt will build up in the crevis, and if you need service and the guys doesn't clean it out, you can place dirt into your AC system, something that is a very bad thing. Cover it some how even with a plastic bag or tape, but cover it until you can find a new cap.

Just go to your Local Auto store and get a Blue cap, they are in the AC Freon section

Less than $5

Thanks,Matt
